The Intelligent Investor

By Benjamin Graham

This book was described by Warren Buffet as “by far the best book on investing ever written”. The author has the aim of teaching how to invest appropriately and do not allow that emotions control the investments. This means that concepts found in this book are for any investor in order to avoid the tendency of “follow the market” and learn poor investing.

According to Graham, investment consists of three equal parts: Through fundamental analysis of companies, in which you invest, deliberately protecting yourself against serious losses and aspiring to “adequate”, not extraordinary, performance.

The book has twenty chapters in order to teach about investments patiently. The original revised edition was published in 1973. Furthermore, there is the HarperCollins Revised Edition 2003 with comments of Jason Zweig.

This book is old but very interesting. Every investor should read it in order to expand their knowledge and learn more about the investments world.
